The 2025 Summit features speaker, Bernadette Woods Placky, Chief Meteorologist for Climate Central.

The sold-out event began with a summary of local climate change impacts and research efforts from Dr. Jen Karberg (NCF) and Dr. Sarah Bois (LLNF). This year’s summit featured speaker Bernadette Woods Placky, the Chief Meteorologist and VP for Engagement at Climate Central. Her talk on the fundamentals of climate and attribution science tied the bigger picture of global climate change into what we experience locally. Bernadette showed that the impacts from climate change can be felt everywhere, from storms and sea levels to a particularly hot day of baseball.
